Dress Up

The past couple weeks have been a rare glimpse of transitional weather here in Toronto – a time when one can wear light jackets and bare legs with thick socks. Though I fear that time has now officially passed, we were able to get out and shoot one of my favourite transitional outfits while the weather allowed.

Suede shoes are one of those temperamental items that must be worn with care, so I’ve been wearing these new as much as I can before the rain and snow start to fall. My pink Haerfest backpack has also been a mainstay in the accessories department this Autumn – it fits a laptop AND looks super cute with just about everything.

Clothing-wise I love the contradiction of business pieces with casual fun items, so this blush Club Monaco blazer and ruffle top were a perfect match with my new by Dynamite (now on for only $20!)

Dress Up

Everyone knows a good handbag can make or break an outfit, and I’m constantly swapping out what I carry for different occasions. Designer classics, pops of fun colours, or novelty bags in unexpected shapes – we don’t discriminate at RAOP! And now that Amazon.ca offers the largest selection of handbags in Canada, we don’t have to.

You’ve definitely seen me consistently sport this Kate Spade Cameron Street Byrdie Bag, and guess what? It’s now available (with famously fast shipping) on Amazon, as are some of our other favourite brands like Skinnydip, Ban.do, Rebecca Minkoff, Ted Baker and more. Whether you’re in the mood for something flashy and covered in glitter, or a simple clutch for a fancy affair, Amazon is stocked with hundreds of choices, all in one easy peasy place. Sadly my cute Cuore and Pelle bag featured in these photos is sold out, but you can find a similar style here and here and here!

For those of you who don’t favour bell sleeves and basics, we’ve rounded up some of the most FUN bags we can find on Amazon (though there are many, many more, because the collection is seriously expansive!) Here are a few of our Summer 2017 favourites:

Ban.do Super Chill Rainbow Cooler Bag by Bando
Skinny Dip Unicorn Tears Novelty Shoulder Bag
Ted Baker Dusky Pink Beckaa Bag
Kate Spade Leather Cross-Body Tote
Ice Cream Crossbody Bag

Dress Up

It’s that awkward time where it’s nearly impossible to know what to wear. One day you don a jacket and end up carrying it around feeling annoyed, the next you freeze your butt off in a dress because the sunshine was deceiving from your bedroom window that morning.

Don’t get me wrong – the time of transitional weather is something to savour, but one has to dress appropriately for the occasion. My current go-to combo is sundress + coat, ideally with a cup of hot tea in hand and a pair of tights in my purse just in case it’s cooler than expected out.

This blush has been a staple in my wardrobe since I scooped it up last Fall (pssst, it’s currently on sale!) It’s a slightly heavier weight than most “Spring” jackets, and the cut easily allows a light cardigan underneath if you need an extra layer of warmth. Paired with my favourite , a killer floral number from Dynamite, little white sneakers and the Mansur Gavriel bucket bag I splurged on last time I visited the big apple, it was the perfect look to “bridge the gap” while exploring NYC!

P.S. No, my hair didn’t magically grow crazy long overnight – I got a whole new mane from Locks and Mane! More on that coming soon.
