Dress Up

I’ve had a fascination with Blair Waldorf and her legendary style long before she came to life on the TV screen. I was all about the books as a pre-teen, soaking up every designer-laced word, and though the TV show version came out a bit too late for my obsession I still re-watch for style inspiration! You seriously can’t go wrong with pastel berets and little bows right?

When I saw this baby blue dress at the Ted Baker SS18 preview months ago I my mind automatically sprung to Blair. I knew she’d approve of the jewelled statement collar, delicately glittering patterned fabric and skater style cut. It was a little bit NYC Upper East Side, and a little bit whimsical Cinderella – these are a few of my favourite things! The best news? This fairytale prep dress is now on sale here! You can also find my black suede mules with gold details on super sale at Hudsons Bay here if you’re one of the lucky sizes left!

Dress UpRandom

Though the humidity in Toronto makes dressing up a bit more difficult, I refuse to give it up entirely. I love putting together dreamy outfits laden with sparkles and golden touches, and no one does those things better than Ted Baker.

I’m on a bit of a navy blue kick right now, and with delicate 3d floral details is perfect for everything from Friday night patio drinks to Sunday brunches. Romantic and whimsical, this look sends my imagination to croissants at Parisian bistros, cobblestone streets and old world romance. Paired with pearl earrings, glittery metallic accessories and the perfect Ted Baker “dress up” jacket, this look begs for a night at the ballet! Who wants to take me?

Dress Up

It’s almost time for Team RAOP to take off for the sun, but we figured we’d brave the elements and shoot one last cold-weather outfit post with our current favourite winter pieces first. Getting dressed can get pretty dismal this time of year, and I’ve been rapidly losing inspiration over the past few weeks, but recent investments in soft wool and dreamy silks have really breathed new life into my wardrobe. Of course my cute new vegan leather backpack from Shoptiques and classic Ted Baker booties don’t hurt either.

Now if only I could ditch the tights…
