Party Time

It’s hard to sum up all the feelings we have about the social media workshop in one little post, but I’m going to do my best.

When the day started, Paige and I were both pretty nervous. I mean, would anyone care what we had to say? Would all our hard work be worth it? But as attendees started pouring in, it quickly became clear that it was going to be a magical morning. Bloggers, business owners, bakers, photographers, and all sorts of other amazing women all squeezed into the studio, and the energy was practically glittering in the air. By the time we finished our presentation, we were almost half an hour overtime, and everyone could barely contain their excitement (including us!) We all stood around afterward eating Desmond & Beatrice coconut cupcakes, Kitten and The Bear scones and jam and shared our hopes, dreams, and plans (oh, and taking some pretty adorable photobooth pics- coming soon!) It felt like we’d created a little bubble of talented creative women at Studio B, and we’re so excited to watch everyone who attended progress and grow.

Overall, our first workshop was a huge success, and we’re so incredibly grateful to all of our lovely attendees and talented sponsors. We’re excited to announce well be hosting more workshops in the near future, and we can’t wait to build on this idea and share what’s next with all of you very soon!

Dress Up

Paige and I are both very much summer sunshine people, so when the weather starts to turn colder and the days become shorter, we both can’t help but feel a little blue. Luckily there are a few things that always boost our mood: soaking in a bubble bath, making big batches of soup, and playing dress up with new clothing from Bicyclette!

To celebrate October (yes, happy October!) we decided to pull together two cute transitional looks that we’re loving at the moment. Paige went for some adorable Scotch & Soda floral trousers, and a graphic Wildfox tee, while I paired a For Love and Lemons white lace dress with a cozy grey Scotch & Soda cardigan and a wide brimmed hat.

With outfits this cozy and cute, I’m sure we’ll be able to weather any Autumn storm!

I'll Follow You Anywhere

I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for horses and trail riding. Something about the open air and the partnership with another living creature just takes my breath away, and if I do one thing in my life, it will be to live on a farm at some point and go riding every morning.

For now though, I live in the city, and opportunities to connect with horses and head out to the country can be sparse. Luckily for me, my best friend Sarah got me a trail ride package for my birthday this year, and since she’s located in Vancouver, she asked Paige to come along as my cowgirl sidekick. Of course she couldn’t say no!

The day of the ride, Paige and I got all suited up in our cowgirl best, pairing Free People ripped jeans with cute embroidered lace tops, tassels, and ditsy floral prints. We took our time getting to the Niagara ranch, stopping at wineries and fruit stands along the way to pick up goodies for the ride home. When we were finally all saddled up, we rode out with a small group headed by a handsome cowboy guide to the beach, arriving just in time for the sunset.

After a walk through the woods back to the farm, we dismounted and said goodbye to our new four-legged friends. It was a truly magical evening, and I’m sure we’ll be headed back to the country very soon for more cowgirl magic and country air!

Dress Up

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to visit The CNE, Toronto’s massive yearly carnival not once, but twice! I rode the rides, played the games (and actually managed to win one!), ate all the deep fried food I could get my paws on, and of course took a whole load of photos. A whole bunch of my favourite images ran on the Bicyclette blog today as part of my bi-weekly Take Me Out post, but since I ended up with so many pictures, I wanted to share some here as well!

Though the CNE is over for this year, I also wanted to create a little “best of” guide for vegans and vegetarians venturing into the meat-heavy but oh so fun food hall. Believe it or not, there’s lots for us in there too! Scroll to the bottom for my handy little list of favourites, or simply enjoy these colourful fun photos and dream about the gates opening up again next year.

Dear Diary

After all the glitter, sweat, (happy) tears, and excitement, it’s finally here: the last Pastel Pool Party photo post. Paige and I had such an incredible time planning this shoot and sharing it with our friends/models and all of you. Everything from throwing the custom confetti to cutting into the magical pink ombre cake was perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for a better evening with so many wonderful ladies.

Make no mistake, this won’t be the last beautiful event you see from RAOPxStudioB!
