Truth be told, I’ve been waiting months for a day warm enough to wear all of my pretty dresses and Spring favourites for a shoot, but because that seems so far off, and because this particular dress is so special, I decided to suffer the cold to show it off.
The dress in question was sent to me awhile back by Datura, one of my absolute favourite clothing brands (you may recognize the name from my post on their newest look book). Designed in NYC and made in Barcelona, Datura explores the connection between the natural world and the urban landscape, and with their inspiring philosophies on sustainability and quality production, it’s no surprise that I’ve totally fallen for them.
This dainty silk ballet dress is so soft and buttery, and the way the fabric floats around my body when I wear it makes me feel like a graceful dancer twirling on stage. Paired with glittery ballet flats and one of Datura’s gorgeous hand-embroidered constellation scarves (very important note: the embroidered stars are glow in the dark), it’s the perfect look for a dreamy evening out with fancy cocktails and dancing in the moonlight.
